PGA EuroPro Tour Comes To Scotland

The PGA EuroPro Tour will make its debut at Moray Golf Club in July when Europe’s leading young pros play the Grant Property Investment Championship.
The 54-hole Sky Sports televised event will be played on the Old Course at Moray, considered one of the finest links courses in Scotland. A classic designed by Old Tom Morris with deep bunkers, undulating gorse-lined fairways and smooth, fast greens, the Old Course is a superb test of golf with seven par-4s over 400-yards long.
With a £10,000 cheque handed to the winner, the Grant Property Investment Championship will be just one of four EuroPro events in Scotland this year. Montrose Links, Mar Hall in Glasgow and Rowallan Castle near Kilmarnock will also host events this summer.
The Tour makes up part of the third tier of European golf with successful players progressing to the Challenge Tour at the end of each season, putting them one step away from a European Tour card.
Among previous PGA EuroPro Tour players are major winners Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel and Ryder Cup winners Ross Fisher and Nicolas Colsaerts.
Daniel Godding, the PGA EuroPro Tour’s Director of Operations said: “Scotland has some magnificent golf courses and Moray’s Old Course is among the finest of them all.
“It is great to be able to bring four of our events to the country this summer and the backing of Grant Property Investment has enabled us to make our debut at Moray.”
The Grant Property Investment Championship takes place over three days from July 10 to July 12, spectator entry will be free of charge. A two-hour highlights package of the Grant Property Investment Championship will be broadcast on Sky Sports HD and globally on ESPN Star (Asia) and Fox Sports Australia.
