The best shot hit at the Franklin Templeton Shootout

Published:

The Franklin Templeton Shootout is the PGA Tour’s version of the last day of term, when you’re allowed to bring in your favourite toys and watch largely unsuitable films while your teacher slyly nurses a bottle of whisky hidden in her handbag.

The three-day pairs tournament, which comprises a scramble on the Thursday, alternate shot on Friday and better ball on Saturday, is never going to rank alongside the Masters in terms of prestige, but it’s good fun nonetheless. Jason Dufner and Brandt Snedeker took the title this year, with a winning total of 30-under. They hit some top-drawer shots en route to victory, and they weren’t the only ones.

Cameron Tringale burnt the edge for an ace

Danny Lee is never getting up and down from there…is he?

Billy Horschel has got it on a string
