There’s been a record number of holes-in-one on the European Tour this season. Here are the best of them

There has been 41 holes-in-one on the European Tour this season. That’s six more than last year, and two more than the previous record-holding year, when 2006 saw 39 aces.

Miguel Angel Jimenez was responsible for three of them, registering an ace at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, the Open de Espana and the BMW PGA Championship.

There were five aces in total at the BMW PGA Championship, with Jimenez’s effort joined by Trevor Fisher Jnr, Craig Lee, Andrew Johnston and Chris Wood, who picked up a BMW i8 for his ace on Wentworth’s 14th hole.
