Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler and Justin Thomas will play for Team USA in the 2023 Ryder Cup

The idea of playing a round at TPC Sawgrass is enough to get most golfers very excited. Throw in Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler as playing partners and you’re getting to a scenario that is simply too good to be true. Unfortunately, for most of us, it’s a dream that’s unlikely to ever come true. 

Fortunately, Justin Thomas is currently starring in a series of videos showing what life is like for a PGA Tour player. In the most recent instalment, he gave an inside view of what it’s like to play a practice round with Jordan Spieth and Rickie Fowler at TPC Sawgrass. It’s about as close as most of us will ever get to experiencing it for real. 

Thomas adds to what is already a fantastic insight with a free-flowing commentary. “I hate when they put the tee back this far because this frickin’ tree is in my way,” he says.

The three discuss what they had for dinner and compliment each other on their shots in what seems like a thoroughly enjoyable round. 

The distraction of recording the practice round clearly didn’t have any negative impact on Thomas’ performance. He finished T-3 at The Players Championship, while practice round companions Spieth and Fowler both missed the cut.
