WATCH: What happened to Jason Day on 18

Jason Day was just four shots off Kevin Kisner’s lead heading down the 18th before pushing his drive up against a tree.

Former major champion Louis Oosthuizen had done a similar thing less than 20 minutes earlier, but had chipped his out and got up and down for par. However, despite an impossible looking lie, Jason Day decided not to opt for for the safety shot.

Instead, he took the brave and what turned out to be costly decision to attempt to hook it around the right side of the trees, only to end up in a bush. It culminated in a quadruple bogey eight, where he dropped back to level par and seven shots behind heading in to Sunday.
