The 2017 British Masters: Find out what’s on, how to watch and who is involved in the Hero Challenge

Planning on heading to the British Masters supported by Sky Sports at Close House, or simply wondering how to watch on Television? Here’s everything you need to know about the event. 

This year, there are a number of new and improved features at the 2017 British Masters, including;

An Educational golfing masterclasses with Rory McIlroy, Sergio Garcia, Lee Westwood and more
Junior British Masters televised on Tuesday 26 September on Sky Sports Golf
A field including Robin Tiger Williams, the top-ranked U16 golfer in Europe
A kids ‘Beat the Pro’ challenge on the par 3 5th hole (Saturday 30th September)
A Hero Challenge, featuring professionals and celebrities, fronted by Kirsty Gallagher and Vernon Kay
Pick the pin competition, featuring a fan vote on 10th hole of Championship Sunday

Sky Sports Golf will also bring cutting-edge technology to the tournament, including:

Hole-cam on the 18th green, offering a unique perspective on holed and near miss putts
In-round commentary and analysis from Lee Westwood’s caddie Billy Foster
Live in-round interviews with a variety of players
Robot camera following featured groups and players
Sky Cart analysis behind the 18th hole

The Hero Challenge: 26th September

The eight players will feature in seven quick-fire head-to-head knockout matches over a specially constructed par three hole at the venue near Newcastle upon Tyne, with the last man standing crowned champion.

The Hero Challenge will be televised live on Sky Sports Golf on Tuesday 26th September from 7.30pm-9.00pm, and across the European Tour’s platforms, with free tickets to be there in person available here for fans in the North East

Thursday 28th – 9.30am to 6pm- British Masters day one LIVE (Sky Sports Golf)

Saturday 30th – 11.30am to 5pm – British Masters day three LIVE (Sky Sports Golf)

Sunday 1st – 10.30pm to 5pm – British Masters final round LIVE (Sky Sports Golf)
