To hit good wood shots in golf make sure the the golf ball is positioned about 2 inches to the inside of your left heel. Then tilt the spine angle to the right hand side to position the right shoulder lower than the left. have the hands behind the golf ball at set up to encourage a shallow angle of attack and get some flight to the golf ball.
A nice flat, rounded wood shot in golf swing is preferred for this shot in order to achieve the necessary angle of attack. A good drill to practice this is to raise the club to knee height and try swinging at that level. This should help create golf swing type required.
