How to grip the golf club

Your grip is your only point of contact with the golf club, therefore it’s critical you get it right. Watch this tip to get your hands in the correct position on the golf club.

Step One

There are two points to bear in mind. Starting with the left hand, try and get the club on the base of the palm. When your left arm is pointing towards the floor the club should have a right angle with your thumb on top of the club and all four of your knuckles in view. When the club face in on the floor you should be able to see just three of the knuckles.

Step Two

With the right hand you want the grip in the base of your hand, interlinking your left index finger and your right little finger should encourage the right hand to assume its correct position. The right hand should feel like it’s on top of the club.
