Links courses traditionally have very large greens, which means there will be a number of different pin positions to aim for. Judging how far to strike a ball at the front of the green as well as the back can be difficult.
In this video, Dan Frost demonstrates how hitting the ball lower will help you reach a flag at the back of the green.
Ball alignment and positioning of the feet are important in helping to hit the ball low. Correct grip and angling of the club are also essential for striking the ball further.
