Hook around a tree

You’ve turned your club over slightly from the tee and find yourself blocked out by a collection of trees down the left hand side. But don’t panic! Hitting the green is not out of the equation, as Today’s Golfer Elite Teaching Pro Nick Clemens explains in this golf video tip.

The key to hitting a low hook shot around the trees is to alter your alignment and make your grip stronger to encourage the rotation of the clubhead through impact. This imparts that all-important sidespin which will help you escape the trouble and salvage your par!
