Left Hand Grip Drill

Although a slice is most commonly caused by the club cutting across the ball with an open clubface, the root of the problem may stem from the grip. The grip is so important in the golf swing – it’s the point where the club attaches to the body!

If you’re a golfer that slices the ball, your hands may be positioned way over to left hand side. From there, it’s all too easy to hold the club open on the way through causing the ball to miss right of target.

Get your hands into a nice neutral position with the right thumb down the right hand side of the grip. Place your left hand on and waggle the club so that the clubface opens and closes – showing you’ve got rid of that slicing grip.  Enjoy your new-found rotation in the hands on route to curing your slice!
