Adidas Tour 360 XT – £159.95

As lots of golf shoes look more like trainers, we like the fact these look like golf shoes.

That’s not to say they’re lacking in tech, though – far from it. The adidas Tour 360 XT gets its name from the X-shaped traction system on the outsole, which provides more grip and stability on uneven lies.

There’s also a lighter, more flexible TPU outsole and Boost cushioning from heel to toe.

Under Armour Hovr Drive GTX – £150

The emphasis is on comfort in the new Hovr Drive GTX – without sacrificing the stable platform Under Armour have spent years developing with biomechanics experts. The result is a supremely comfortable spiked shoe that really supports your swing – and looks great.

Under Armour’s cushioning provides comfort and support, without harming the lightweight build.

Under Armour also incorporated their RST 2.0 “resistance spikes” into this shoe, to deliver tons of traction by creating resistance in both vertical and horizontal directions. It basically helps keep your feet really planted as you swing.

Puma PWRADPT Caged – £130

The most trainer-like look here still delivers a ton of stability as you swing thanks to Puma’s clever support systems.

The supportive PWR Cage saddle wraps around the medial and lateral sides of the shoe, providing lots of stability. As the laces tighten, the cage around your foot forms a comfortable but stable fit, and the heel Lock Window locks your foot securely into the shoe.

The full-length Ignite foam cushioning provides comfort and three-dimensional traction that adapts to the way a golfer moves.
