There was a record number of Europeans in the field (30), but in the end none of them came close to following up on Padraig Harrington’s win at Carnoustie and challenging Tiger Woods. The best place Euro was Englishman Simon Dyson, who had a sensational final round 64, to finish at level par for the tournament. Other highlights of the week included Graeme Storm’s first round 65, which gave him a two-shot lead over the field.
