Tiger Woods has signed a fresh deal with Nike thought to be worth over £100million.

Though the world number one won’t talk about it, Nike Golf president Bob Wood has said it’s a “ multi-year agreement”.

Woods, 30, signed a five-year, £25million deal with Nike when he turned pro in 1996, then a five-year, £60million extension in 2001.

“We were not really in the golf business in 1996. Now we’re a leader in the golf industry,” Woods said. “We didn’t have any hard goods and now we have everything, clubs and balls.”

Among the other equipment switches included Cleveland’s David Toms and Vaughn Taylor, who will both be playing TaylorMade in 2007.

There’s also a rumour that Ernie Els is planning to ditch Titleist.
