Adidas Golf believe they have come up with the answer to the mud clogged golf shoe in 2008 with the launch of the new Adidas Powerband Sport.

The new water resistant Adidas golf shoe brings together a number of new golf shoe technologies to help keep you warm, dry and stable on the golf course.

And according to Adidas Golf, what sets Powerband Sport apart from the crowd is a new technology called 50/50 Protect, which combines a water-resistant shield with membrane-lined mesh to surround the lower half of the golf shoe and protect the foot from mud, dirt, wet grass, etc. The top half of the golf shoe utilises lightweight and highly breathable air-mesh for improved temperature management, flexibility, comfort and a bold, athletic look.

“The development of the POWERBAND Sport shoe was inspired by two things”, says Dave Ortley, director of footwear for adidas Golf. “First, by a new category of golfer who has emerged during the past few years who can be described as a modern athlete who seeks every performance edge and advantage possible. Second, the POWERBAND Sport shoe was inspired by the never-ending evolution of the game, which drives ever-changing needs for golfers.”

The POWERBAND Sport shoe will be available at adidas Golf retail partners in April and is offered in three colour combinations: metallic silver/metallic silver/indigo, running white/metallic silver/energy and sun/metallic silver/black, and in two widths, medium and wide. The recommended retail price (RRP) is £89.99.
