A group of mad-keen golfers hope to raise £1500 for Comic Relief after playing 18 holes on 18 different courses.

The four – Steve Robinson, Paul Alexander, Martin Bell and Andy Fowler – did the challege in the Bradford and Leeds area on Red Nose day.

Martin told us: “We had a great day, but very tiring.  It took us 10 and a half hours and was like playing 36 holes as we had to walk back down the fairway after each one, and most courses we played were hilly!”
“But we have raised approx £900 in sponsorship and have collected items from work and from each course, including, balls, shirt, jumper, and vouchers for lessons and fourball rounds.  We are hoping that the auction and raffle for these will take us up towards £1,500.
The items will be on ebay. To view the items or to make a bid, click here…

“It worked out a par 72 course over the day, including three par 3s and three par 5s, so it was a proper round, just over the 18 courses!  We didn’t score too well, especially towards the end. I shot 87, Andy did 94, Steve shot 107 and Paul scored 114, orr 11, 15, 22 and 26.”
