Apr5 drivers to ‘ReshapeGame’

Top equipment manufacturer Titleist have joined the wacky shaped driver market. With gear rivals Callaway and Nike bringing out square drivers, Titleist have jumped on the bandwagon…by introducing a triangular version!

Yes, that’s right folks: As weird as it may seem, the highest moment of inertia Titleist driver ever –  the 907D1 – features a triangular shaped head for increased distance, extra forgiveness and a straighter ball flight.

The 460cc design of the 907D1 has a similar moi rating to a square driver and provides extra forgiveness over previous Titlest drivers.

Titleist are confident the 907D1 will prove a major hit with ordinary club golfers, following on from the 907D2 which is delivering the goods off the tee for the higher standard of player.

The 907D2 has a more traditional round profile but with increased moi, meaning good players still have the ability to hit either a draw or fade.

Expect to see the D2 making an appearance at this weekend’s US Masters in the hands of players like Adam Scott, Luke Donald and Arron Oberholser. The driver has already registered a couple of Tour wins this season, whilst its more unconventional ‘brother,’ the D1 performed brilliantly in TG’s recent drivers test – check out our full findings in the current May issue.

Both drivers will be hitting good golf shops in the UK on May 1st with a RRP of £299. For further information visit www.titleist.co.uk
