July31 Ping G10 spy shots

Lee Westwood is just one of numerous Ping players who are testing a new range of Ping G10 drivers, irons and woods.

Details are sketchy as Ping plans its autumn launch, but we understand the all-new G10 range will replace the super-successful Ping G5 line-up later this year.

Westwood has the fairways wood in play at the recent Scottish Open, while several players including Angel Cabrera (pictured with the G10 driver in his bag, right) and Bubba Watson have been trialling the new golf clubs on the PGA Tour.

The most noticeable difference in appearance is an orange insert in the bottom of the fairway woods and driver.

The driver is thought to be all-titanium, lacking the composite construction of Ping’s Rapture driver while all clubs have been manufactured to increase MOI and make them even more user friendly.

We expect to have more details, pictures, prices and our first hit opinions within weeks on the new driver, woods, irons and rescue club range.
