Golfers from both sides of the Atlantic will be doing Ryder Cup-style battle next week…at Stoke Park GC in leafy Buckinghamshire!
A dozen amateur golfers from top European companies will be taking on their American counterparts in a 27-hole Matchplay Challenge on Monday 15th September.
Venue just days before the ‘ real deal’ gets underway at Valhalla will be the fabulous Stoke Park Golf Club which will host the VPAR Cup. The VPAR Cup will involve nine holes of fourball, nine of foursomes and another nine of singles action.
Stoke Park is celebrating its centenary this year and has been voted one of the top 100 courses in the World. It has been the location for many major movies including 007’s Goldfinger and Tomorrow Never Dies.
Monday’s event will see players from Barclays, UBS, RBS and Spring Law among others representing Europe whilst the US team includes amateur golfers from Budweiser, Merrill Lynch, Accenture, Morgan Stanley and Russell Athletic.
Julian Sykes, Managing Director for VPAR said: “This is a great event for the start of an exciting golfing week. It is fantastic to host the inaugural VPAR Cup at Stoke Park which we hope will become an annual fixture.”
