How do you fancy caddying for one of Europe’s greatest ever golfers? European Ryder Cup legend Ian Woosnam is offering a once in a lifetime chance for one lucky individual to caddy for him on the Par 3 course at next year’s US Masters in Augusta.

The amiable Welshman, who has also filled the world number one slot in his stellar career, won the Masters in 1991 and is donating this opportunity in support of Welsh cancer charity Tenovus, the official charity of the 2010 Ryder Cup. The opportunity will be auctioned off next month to the highest bidder at the Ryder Cup Wales Annual Gala and Awards Dinner on October 25.

Woosnam said: “I am pleased to be able to support Tenovus by offering this caddy opportunity which will hopefull raise a lot of money for this very special cause.”

Rob Holt, chief executive of Ryder Cup Wales, said: “We are delighted to be able to work with Tenovus and to assist with their fundraising efforts.”
