The field for next month’s World Match Play at Wentworth has been completed, with Henrik Stenson and Soren Hansen securing the final two spots in the 16-man field.

Swede Stenson and Dane Hansen accepted invites as the top two players on the Order of Merit who had not already qualified for the prestigious event at the Virginia Water club.

Ten of the players who make up the field qualified from their efforts in this season’s four Majors, while the next four came from various qualifying events on the Tour.

World number one Tiger Woods has declined his invite, but Paul Casey will defend his crown when the tournament starts on October 11.
