The new way to play

Last month we told you about an exciting new format of golf called Power Play. Now we’re inviting you to test this new form of golf by taking part in a special Today’s Golfer Power Play day at Northwick Park golf course on August 3rd.

Power Play Golf is played over nine holes and only takes an hour. It’s a basic Stableford points scoring game, designed to test a player’s course management skills. Each green has two pin positions, one easy, and one very demanding.

At the start of the game each player is allocated three ‘power plays’ – this is when you can choose to go for the difficult pin. You must nominate your Power Play hole on the tee. If you score a gross or net birdie (equivalent to three points) on that hole or better you can double your points.

The game gets even more exciting at the last, when there is the option to take a fourth bonus Power Play. Bold players can double their points and leap up the leaderboard.

The Power Play golf day usually costs £52, but if you book to come along to our Today’s Golfer Power Play day on August 3rd the charge is just £25. The price includes a large basket of balls on the driving range, unlimited use of the short game practice area and three warm-up holes before your nine-hole competition. There will be a nearest the pin prize on every hole plus members of the TG staff will be on hand to offer your advice and tips throughout the day.
