Shipley Golf Club

What we say

Opened in 1921, the Shipley Golf Club golf course was designed by the renowned golf course architect Dr Alister Mackenzie. It is tucked away in a beautiful, mature wooded valley at Beckfoot - just outside the town of Bingley in West Yorkshire. Shipley has long been known as one of the best golf courses in the Yorkshire area and, with a continuous programme of investment in the golf course and its facilities in place, we believe that we will maintain this status.

Your Reviews

  • 5 out of 5 A jewel in Yorkshire's crown

    By Rich

A truly beautiful course with amazing views of the Yorkshire countryside throughout. Great facilities including a snooker table in the Club house and a friendly welcome from staff and patrons alike. Some of the most challenging greens our group has ever played and excellent value for money - would be hard to recommend this course more highly. Look forward to playing it again many times in years to come.

  • 4 out of 5 Grand-dads on tour!

We received a very warm welcome from all of the staff and members when we played on 22 June 2009. The course was in very good condition and the groundstaff were active, but very courteous, throughout our game. A test for both of us with our 20+ handicaps, the course nevertheless gave us a "good game" and we thoroughly enjoyed all 18 holes. Will we be back? Almost certainly! Would we recommend it to others? Most definitely Congratulations....and many thanks all round!!

  • 4.5 out of 5 You need to play the par 3s well to get a good score

The course is in great condition despite a wet summer. Feature holes are 2 and 7 and offer a strong test of character.
