This Fred Hawtree designed Beaufort golf course was opened in 1971. Subsequent maturing, development and care have resulted in a superb golf course which presents a challenge to all levels of golfer. Water hazards are a feature on many holes and the greens, though large, play devilishly tricky owing to the fact many are raised slightly from the surrounding terrain.

Chipping Sodbury Golf Club is also the home of a six-hole par 3 Academy golf course.
