South Winchester Golf Club

What we say

Plays like an inland links and benefits from sitting on a chalky terrain which helps to produce firm, fast-running fairways and year-round playing conditions. The par-72 course opened 20 years ago and features six lakes which come into play on four holes.

Designed by Dave Thomas and Peter Alliss, the par 72 golf course provides a stern but fair test for golfers of all levels. The links style course is set around six lakes and meanders through undulating landscape.

The championship course is just two miles from the M3, and its relaxed clubhouse offers function and conference facilities.

Have played this course several times the last being in May. It,s generally in good condition and has a number of long par4's, which provides it's main defence. The greens were very poor but this is unusual. A good course which provides a challenge for all standards of player.
