After a day where there was a charity event with celebs i thought i would try out this course thinking it would be i its best condition. If this is as good as it gets then i would not return here. The welcome was poor to say the least, the course was not in a good condition, and the lay out was very poor. This Golf course does not justifie the £30 price it asks for. Poor, Poor, Poor.

I've playeed this course many times over the last few years, and each time i leave wondering just when it is going to become 'what it should be' . The bunkers are a disgrace, and the new holes have been thrown in hastily. But, given time it will be one of the best in Wiltshire. It can only improve. The same can be said of the welcome (or lack of) ..Members look snootily down their noses at visitors and are very unwelcoming. The bar area is too small for just having a drink. It's good, but not that good....yet

I'm a member of this this course and even I am not bothering to play it at the moment.. New holes were built and should have been left to overwinter until April 2007. Unfortunatley the owners decided to shut some of teh original holes and open up the new ones last September 06. This has been an absolute disaster, non of the new holes are in any condition to played properly and all we are doing is churning them up. Why didn't they wait for the extra time to pass before they opened up the new holes you might ask! Well it probably has something to do with the holiday homes they are now building on the old holes that were closed. My suggestion is keep away until we've had about 3 months of dry weather then it might be worth paying the green fees. Other than that go play one of teh other courses in the area, most hold up to a British winter alot better than 'The Wiltshire'.
