It is an achievement which should be appreciated perhaps a little more than it is; for a new course to open at a venue where the existing tracks are both of Top 100 standard, and to surpass them is seriously impressive. That is what the Marquess, the youngest of Woburn’s trio, has done. Tree planting and bunker refurbishment as well as conditioning to highest-ever levels mean Woburn’s most muscular course is well worth its spot in the top 30.
