The Ayrshire postal address has you expecting links, but this is a parkland routed among mature beech trees in Belleisle Park. James Braid did such a fine job that this municipal – run by South Ayrshire Council – is regarded among Britain’s finest public courses. The 11th, a 430-yard two-shotter, is a real highlight.
