Dubai

When Dubai Golf opened the doors to Emirates Golf Club in 1988 – the first grass championship course in the region – it was to begin an era which has seen the emirate grow into one of the world’s finest golf destinations.

Recently crowned ‘Golf Destination of the Year – Africa, Gulf States and Indian Ocean’ – at the annual IAGTO Awards, Dubai’s
courses continue to set a benchmark for exceptional quality and service, backed by world-class hotels, leisure attractions and cultural experiences.

Under the management of Dubai Golf and soon to celebrate its 25th anniversary, Emirates Golf Club has been at the heart of Dubai’s rise to fame, offering members and guests a diverse and challenging golf experience as well as first-class leisure facilities and a host of international-standard cuisine.

The showcase Majlis course, currently ranked in Golf World Magazine’s Top 100 Courses of the World, and the highly acclaimed Faldo Course – featuring its unique ‘Night Golf’ – continue to captivate, blending the natural rolling desert terrain with strategic design, offering all levels of golfer an enjoyable and diverse challenge.

The signature clubhouse at Emirates Golf Club, in the shape of Bedouin tents, is one of the world’s most eye-catching golf landmarks.

To underline the consistent quality and ambition of Dubai Golf, the Majlis plays host to two significant events each year: the
European Tour’s Omega Dubai Desert Classic, one of the most popular tournaments among players; and the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters, one of the highlights of the Ladies European Tour season.

Both events continue to attract the world’s best players and the likes of Woods, Els and McIlroy have all experienced its delights.

Its sister course, Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club – soon to celebrate its 20th birthday – is another of Dubai Golf’s premier
resorts located in the heart of the city. It incorporates a championship layout, also voted one of the world’s ‘Top 100 Must-Play Golf Courses’.

In addition to absorbing the challenges of ‘The Creek’, visitors can also experience the exceptional nine hole Par-3 design, state-of-the-art golf academy, or relax in one of six restaurants and bars, the gym or tropical swimming pool.

Or, for golfers seeking the ultimate stay-and-play experience they can enjoy the five-star luxury of the adjacent Park Hyatt Dubai hotel, which includes a 121-berth marina and a multitude of eating options such as the award winning French brasserie Traiteur, The Thai Kitchen, Café Arabesque, and The Lobby Lounge.
