Ireland has numerous golf complexes – one of which has even hosted the Ryder Cup – but few have such a spectacular course as this Co Monaghan venue.

Concra Wood doesn’t have the tournament-hosting history of The K Club, Carton House et al but with its course laid out next to Lough Muckno, it can hold its own with anywhere in the Emerald Isle in terms of aesthetics, views and enjoyment. Founded as a nine-holer in 1905, Christy O’Connor Snr and Jnr redesigned it in the 1980s.
