Celebrated designer David McLay Kidd has travelled to Central America to design his latest masterpiece. Guacalito de la Isla is the name of the course within the achingly beautiful brand-new Mukul Beach, Golf and Spa resort in south-west Nicaragua, which boasts a gorgeous year-round climate – only September and October don’t see daily cloudless skies.
From Britain, you fly to Miami, Houston, Atlanta or Fort Lauderdale and then 90 minutes on to Managua. McLay Kidd’s woodland course offers sensational views of the Pacific and is truly terrific fun.
