Norwood Park Golf Course

What we say

Norwood Park is one of Nottinghamshire’s premier golfing destinations.

Both the 18 hole Norwood course (measuring 6805 yards off the back tees) and the 9 hole Westwood PAR 3 course have been designed by Clyde B Johnston, past president of the American Society of Golf Course Architects. He has succeeded in creating two magnificent layouts, both with free-draining USGA greens, which blend perfectly with the historic parkland setting of Norwood Park. The courses will appeal to golfers of all standards and the club house, with its enclosed courtyard, will cater for your food and drink needs. Golfers may also book a lesson with one of our resident professionals who cater for all types of golfers.

The practice area, opened in the summer of 1998, is a special feature of Norwood Park Golf Course. This grass practice ground incorporates a 350-yard-plus driving area, practice putting, chipping and pitching greens and a large practice bunker.

  • 3 out of 5 Norwood Day ticket

Hi played this in October with benjar1 would like to clarify for others 2for1 is based on day rate ticket not just 18, so no restrictions on T time so book early and get 27 or 36 for even more value. In my opion front 9 are better however back 9 offers some cracking views. Visit the wesite prior to playing as online course guide is a valuable resource for anyone not having played here before.

Played the course late october and was in very good condition, the greens were a little bumpy but the fairways and tees were excellent. The par 3 12th is a very interesting tee shot with club selection tricky, it also gives a fantastic view. The grass practice range is much better than a range mat. Overall a very good day!!

We played this course over the Christmas period and was impressed by both the organisation and the condition of the course considering the time of year. The greens were in good condition some being very tricky to read. Overall I had positive feedback from our members and this is a course I would definatley revisit probably in the summer months

  • 2.5 out of 5 Too expensive

Played on a Bank-holiday Monday and was charged week-end full day rate. With 2-4-1 voucher this still worked out to £22 each. While the course is quite good - tees well laid out and greens have many contours - I feel this course is really over-priced. Hardly suprising that it was quiet on a glorious sunny afternoon!

Great course. Some fantastic holes. Front 9 is better than back 9 but back 9 is still a real test. Staff are good and facilities are good. You hit off grass on the range so its a great place to practise. I enjoyed it so much i signed up for membership!!!

norwood is a lovely course to play any time of the year the front nine in my opinion being the harder and nicer of the 18,but i would say the signature hole is 12 called "halam heights" you are well above the green with a rather large pond on the left of the undulating green, an enjoyable course if a little expensive compared to some courses around the area its worth playing
