What we say

A Private Members' club, our mixed Membership is drawn from all walks of life. Proud of our history and long tradition, in 2008 we celebrated 400 years of the Blackheath Goffer. We play for the oldest medal in golf in the Spring, and host the earliest known Open competition, but our greatest tradition is of a Club that is inclusive and welcoming to all.
Players of all ages, - we have thriving Ladies, Veterans' and Juniors' sections, enter our regular members' competitions, scrambles, roll-ups and inter-club matches playing for a wealth of trophies, or simply for the joy of improving their game by joining in impromptu weekend roll-ups, a Summer's evening 9-hole get-together or taking part in the Club's full social calendar based in our beautiful and historic Clubhouse, Eltham Lodge.

    A very attractive and challenging course with outstanding Clubhouse. The museum is well worth a visit and will put most club histories in the shade. A country park completely secluded from the metropolis.
