Mannings Heath (Waterfall Course)

What we say

Superbly located in 500 acres of Sussex downland, Mannings Heath is quite simply one of the finest golf clubs in England. Two different championship golf courses and a clubhouse that dates back to the 17th century make it the ultimate destination for golfers though nowadays you need to be a member or a guest of a member to tee it up on the Waterfall.  Each golf course has its own individual playing characteristics. The Waterfall was established in 1905 and is set in mature woodland with streams and tree-lined fairways. The Kingfisher, with its stunning views, follows the banks of the 14 acre Hawkins Pond on several holes.

The 19th Century cottage Fullers, at Mannings Heath has been beautifully restored, providing accommodation for up to 8 people, a private garden, TV & DVD, free WiFi and full use of the clubhouse facilities including the AA Rosetted Restaurant, Spike Bar and steam room.

Your Reviews

  • 3 out of 5 Pretty, but flawed.

    By Cleveland Clive

It may be highly regarded, but I only found three holes which grabbed my attention. It does not drain well, there are unsafe blind shots and many White tees have been extended to the "wrong side" of greens. It has many well framed tee shots, but nearby (unfashionable)?Rusper is a much better test of skills.

  • 3 out of 5 STUNNING PAR 3'S

    By Anonymous

Yes. The Par 3's are stunning ( The character says this like hes talkin about Birkdale) Compare to YOUR LOCAL PITCH AND PUTT. ( The character then laughs at his own joke).

  • 5 out of 5 Great Course, well worth a Trip!

Recently visited this course with my father for his 60th birthday, what a great course. Challenging and all areas, off the tee, around the greens and putting. The staff looked after us very well with a drinks buggy on course, starters hut and very friendly pro shop staff. We had a great meal in thier restaurant afterward which was fanstastic and actually has a AA rosette...not many golf clubs with those! Strongly reccomended to all thinking about going down to visit! Its also really good value without the 2 fore1 ....we'll be going back!

  • 5 out of 5 A real beauty

They dont make course like this any more. The par 3s are stunning. Lots of carries off the tees so if your drivings not on form you are in trouble. Very friendly staff in a lovely clubhouse.
