Thurlestone Golf Club

What we say

One of Britain’s truly hidden gems. Running along the stunning coastline of Bigbury Bay in South Devon, it is a mix of genuine links holes and clifftop terrain which provide stunning views of the Avon Estuary and Burgh Island.

Thurlestone Golf Club is over a century old and its golf course, which attracts golfers from near and wide, is situated on a breathtaking coastal strip of downland turf. It has a well deserved reputation for excellence and guarantees a stern yet enjoyable test for experts and hackers alike. Just don't let the amazing vistas disrupt your concentration otherwise you'll be severely punished because Thurleston has a lot of tricks up its sleeve.

Your Reviews

  • 3.5 out of 5 Excellent Links course

The opening six holes give some of the most stunning scenery you're likely to see on a UK course and the view from the 11th green must rank as one of the best in the country. The course is very well kept and has numerous enjoyable holes. The bar serves excellent food and drinks which are VERY reasonably priced. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable day out.
