The Club at Mapledurham Golf & Leisure Complex

What we say

Savings of up to 33% available. Mapledurham won’t blow you away in terms of its actual layout, but it provides a good golfing day out all the same. It’s not too long, there’s a fine mix of holes and the greens are usually in excellent condition. Star hole is the par 4 10th which provides a cracking start to the back nine though you need to hit a solid drive to stand any chance of making the green.

The golf course was designed by Robert Sandow and opened in 1992. It is set in the heart of the Oxfordshire countryside in the Chiltern Hills, an area of outstanding natural beauty, offering top views across the Thames Valley.

The interior of the club has a relaxing atmosphere with the Pulse Café offering everything from sarnies to full blown meals.

Stay & Play:
The Crowne Plaza Hotel near Caversham while there's all kinds of accommodation in Reading (5  miles away).

  • 2.5 out of 5 Surly staff

    By norman9

A pleasant round of golf on a well kept course spoilt by surly reception staff. We pre-booked a 12am tee time, only to be told in not the nicest terms that 2 fore 1 voucher holders, who they seemed to think are second class citizens, had to go out after 2pm.  This wa eventually put right by the Pro.  Even buying a coffee before teeing off constituted being ignored for several miutes, before being served with no pleasnatries exchanged.  However, the coffee was good!

The course is a nice setting with a very links feel to the front nine and a easy starting hole to ease you in.The back nine has some lovley holes from 10 through to 14 trees come into play well.with only two par fives and 5 par 3 it is'nt the longest. A good course to learn on
