What we say
When you think of Dr Alister MacKenzie you think of him as the designer of the Augusta National course, home of the Masters tournament. The great MacKenzie also designed the beautiful coastal Duff House Royal Golf Club in Banff.
This 6109 yard parkland course features MacKenzie’s key design principles, including, an emphasis on beautiful natural features, as well as undulating greens and fairways that set up for a minimal amount of blind approach shots; creating a more enjoyable experience for high-handicap golfers.
A course that holds up very well under extreme weather conditions, Duff House Royal is a pretty, manicured, and well-established course that provides golfers of all abilities a challenge.
Low-handicap players will enjoy testing approach shots and tricky, true rolling greens, while weaker players will enjoy taking alternative approach routes as wildlife and greenery surrounds.
Duff House Royal Golf Club is a parkland course designed by Dr Alister MacKenzie, designer of Augusta National, and boasts two classic "MacKenzie" style two tiered greens. At 6019 yards it offers a fair test to all golfers.
Surrounded by the River Deveron, water features on some holes and forces players to think their way around this tricky course. Duff House Royal offers five par threes of varying lengths and has fitted in a par five in this tight course.
