Oatridge Golf Course

What we say

Opened in 2000 by local golfing hero and former Ryder Cup captain Bernard Gallacher, Oatridge Golf Course is truly a hidden gem. Set among gently rolling parkland by the village of Ecclesmachan, the course has become very popular among beginners and experienced players alike, and has been described as “the best 9-hole course in Scotland”.

Golf equipment, trolleys and buggies are available for hire, and golfers can enjoy a coffee and a snack in the clubhouse before or after their round. There is a large practice putting green, a practice area with bunkers and a double practice bay for that last minute warm-up before teeing off.

A warm welcome awaits all visitors to Oatridge, where you are guaranteed an enjoyable day’s golf in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. To uphold the traditions of the game of golf, a standard golfing dress code is in place, with all golfers required to dress in a smart, casual manner.

  • 4 out of 5 A must play course

    By Norrie

Lovely course in tranquil surroundings, although only a 9 holer, has varying tee positions to play from for your second "9",the greens and fairways are in very good condition, the "clubhouse" ( a small log cabin type) has no bar, but, tea, coffee, soft drinks and snacks are available from a very friendly staff who give you a warm welcome, look forward to playing it again, a real little gem!!!!

  • 4 out of 5 Well worth a look and a play.

Great course, played it quite a lot over the last few years and decided to join it this year, definatly value for money, great reception and very pleased to see a club that really looks after every one that plays the course non members and members. They truly look after the course and it's in top notch condition or as near as no matter when in the year you go.

  • 4 out of 5 Surely the best 9-holer in Scotland....

What a lovely place to play - it's in great nick, with a friendly welcome every time! Not played it yet? Go and see what you're missing!

  • 3 out of 5 Excellent greens!

This course is a hidden gem. Admittedly it is short, but it's set in some mature parkland, and each hole is varied and interesting. The seventh hole in particular is a brilliantly demanding long par 4. Perhaps due to the greenkeeping course (run by the neighbouring college) the quality of the greens is first class. There is also an excellent practice area. Not bad for a wee 9-holer hidden away in the rolling fields of West Lothian.
