What we say...
Golf Buddy have been producing great products for some time now, but we are confident this is the best yet. The first thing to point out are the aesthetics – it just looks cool and very modern. It comes preloaded with courses from around the world, and has the capacity to hold 40,000 at one time.
The automatic course recognition makes it very easy to use. Richard was a big fan of the 'Apple style' design and aesthetics, and although he felt the graphics were initially a little basic he did say they were very clear and worked well. He was also impressed with the yardages displayed to hazards, as well as to the hole. Some of the GPS devices took a bit of time to ’catch’ up with play, but the Platinum knew exactly where we were all of the time.
Steve thought the display was the best on test, and loved how easy it was to navigate around the hole map. Even before we did the official accuracy test, Riath was singing the Golf Buddy’s praises, stating it had helped dodge a few hazards and hit a couple of greens which he wouldn’t have done without it. Jon was also a big fan, and after leaving it on by mistake, was amazed to see it was still going – that’s because the battery lasts for 18 hours, making the product ideal for those who forget
to charge between rounds!
In summary, this is a superb option for the golfer who wants an all-singing, all-dancing GPS. There are no additional download fees to worry about, and it was super-accurate too – a worthy winner of our Gold award.

Golfbuddy Gadgets User Reviews
After reading several reviews I decided to purchase the GolfBuddy Platinum. I have used it approximately 20 rounds of golf, both at my home course and other courses. I love the fact that the GolfBuddy locates the course I am playing and I don't have to scroll through all of my listed courses. Contrary to some of the reviews I have read, I find the GolfBuddy screen easy to read. The GolfBuddy has not "frozen or locked" while I have been using it. The distance is spot on with some of the more expensive rangefinders. All in all, I would recommend the GolfBuddy to anyone in th market for a golf gps.
