Irons Test 2014: Orka GS5 CTi
Cost: £59.50 steel, per club
Tech: CTi (Combined Technology Iron) has a low CG and a precision-cast CG slot allowing for a stronger trajectory.
What we said... James Ridyard: “Both a large head and clubface but the top edge isn’t that thick, which is nice. It’s not the easiest to align as the leading edge is quite curved. It boasts a low offset for this category which made it very workable. It felt solid but not overly hot, the flight was a little high and spinny and distance was not as long as I’d hoped.” Adam Holdgate: “I really like the look with the classy, shiny finish. It seemed to curve more than the others, especially when I didn’t catch it. Felt like quite a heavy head.”
Pros: Popular look and will appeal to game improvers too.
Cons: Lacked distance and too easy to curve offline.
