What we say...

The Cleveland CG7 Tour iron is good looking and wowed both testers. Performance wise it stood up well, with Tom admitting this could have comfortably fitted into the ‘Tour Quality’ category. A sound display from a set of irons that look and play the part yet won’t break the bank.

Cleveland CG7 Tour Irons were new for 2010. The most advanced irons Cleveland has ever made, offering improved feel and forgiveness thanks to their Laser milled face and Zip grooves, plus added distance through Dynamic Micro-Cavity Technology. The dark black finish reduces glare.

The Tour version has a slightly sleeker clubhead profile compared to the original CG7 Black Pearl irons.

Precise Laser Milled face texture increases surface roughness than alternative methods. This produces an optimal surface roughness for maximizing spin.

The breakthrough technology involved in the Zip grooves features consistent milling of each groove to maximum conforming dimensions. The absolute integrity of these grooves is maintained by the application of a proprietary coating to each groove for protection during the face sandblasting process. The resulting Zip Grooves are pristine, shiny and Cleveland Golf's biggest, most precisely milled grooves ever.

A one piece injection molded lightweight visco-elastic insert covers the entire perimeter of the cavity and the base of the head. This provides vibration dampening across the entire face for superior feel, even on off center hits.

  • 5 out of 5 CG7 Tour Irons

    By Marcusgolf

Have had my last set of game improvement irons about 5 year and thought it about time to move onto the better players iron. The natural thing to do would be to move onto the next step up model from my current iron so popped along to see my local pro. On arrival he gave me varoius models, 8 in  total, all leading  brands along with the Cleveland CG7 Tour irons of which I knew very little about. I spent a good hour working through each club, to my extreme suprise  I found the CG7 to be the best  on all fronts, they look great at address and fill you with confidence straight away. The ball flight was true, producing the same path over and over again. The feel off the club face was solid even on off center hits with very little loss of distance they are and still are after 3 weeks of using the clubs like magic wands. I cannot recommend these enough, I am sure destiny had a big part to play in putting these in my hands!!
