What we say...
These pricey forged Vega irons were bound to lose points on value alone. The £1,200 pricetag is an awful lot of money to pay for a set of irons, and golfers would
be justified in expecting something truly special in return. Like their Japanese cousins, Epon, they performed steadily but unspectacularly, and they also lost points on forgiveness. They are a real players’ club, with minimal offset through the set, and have a stylish satin fi nish. We can’t fault them as a golf club, but they didn’t find any real fans in our test and look likely to remain a cult offering.
