Bettinardi BB1 Putter Review: You need to know
A classic tour proven shape which has had a makeover for 2018. The neck is slightly closer to the sweetspot to promote less toe hang and a more aggressive Flymill milling pattern promotes a softer feel at impact. Bettinardi says the new Stealth black finish reduces glare and improves aim optics.

A putter shape we’ve seen a million times before, but it obviously still sells as there’s plenty of milled ‘Anser’ style putters about. Every dimension, curve, mill mark and even the pattern on the face has been poured over to deliver a top-class putter. That’s what you buy into when going for a 100% milled putter, ultimate manufacturing control.
We loved how the BB1 naturally encourages getting the hands ahead of the ball which helps stroke the ball across the green rather than hitting at putts with a damaging wristy flick. The traditional sized grip works really nicely on a blade and of course it goes without saying feedback from the mild carbon head was amongst the very best.
Do putter face grooves really make a difference?

A similar model from Scotty Cameron will cost you £76 more than the Bettinardi so there’s a decent price gap between the two brands. It’s worth remembering if you’d prefer a softer or firmer feel Bettinardi offers different face/groove patterns on other models so you can tailor feel to your own game.
