What we say...

Hybrid Test 2012

Last year’s gold award winner has been knocked off top spot – just. Our team loved that this combined the powerful feel associated with Callaway hybrids with a sleek and compact head shape. David was impressed with the smooth sole, suggesting it is versatile because there is nothing to get snagged in the rough. Alan, meanwhile, also rated the feel and looks highly. Even Peter loved the smaller head and awarded it top marks in every category – despite it not being aimed at higher-handicap players. The Razr X Tour also delivered on performance with high marks in the distance and dispersion.

Pro verdict: The smaller head with less offset looks much better and also means it is pretty versatile for a club designed to add forgiveness. This was excellent from the fairway and the tee but one negative is that perhaps it is a little small to be as consistent from the rough.

Designed with less of an offset than the standard model, allowing the more experienced golfer to have greater control over their golf shots for an improved performance, the Callaway RAZR X Tour Golf Hybrid will make a superb addition to any golfer’s bag.

Benefitting from the use of aggressive VFT technology which allows Callaway to more accurately control the thickness of the club face, creating a huge sweet spot for improved forgiveness, this well constructed Callaway RAZR X Tour Golf Hybrid will increase your distance and improve accuracy.

It also features a zero roll design, which allows for higher launching shots, even on hits off the lower end of the club face, as well as using an inertia driven design, meaning a larger head size for increased control and playability. With a mid torque and mid kickpoint, this Callaway RAZR X Tour Golf Hybrid Shaft is designed to produce a quick launch which balances out faster for a more penetrating golf ball flight, complimenting this fantastic Callaway RAZR X Tour Golf Hybrid and perfect for the lower handicap golfer.
