What we say...

Tested: May 2011

MD Golf is continuing to set the bar really high for the moreaffordable brands, with a brilliant product range that seldom disappoints. We see a lot of TG readers through the year, and lots of them use MD gear because it’s great value for money and offers superb quality.

The NV Drew wedge is no different, and both Pete and Mike were amazed at the price of the product. Pete noted how quickly the ball stopped on the green, and this was borne out by Chris’ impressive spin statistics. Our pro said it lacked a bit of feel for his liking, but was quick to state that the wedge was superb for the money. Jon noted an impressive display of control around the green, while Mike was pleased with the weight and balance that it offered.

We are constantly amazed at how good MD’s products are and even if they charged more for them, they’d still represent great value.

Results (out of five):

Spin (56 degrees from 75 yards): 8,067 rpm  Looks: 4.3  Feel: 3.9  Sound: 4.0  Around the green: 4.5  75 yards: 4.5  Rating: 4 stars

New for 2010 and due to numerous requests from the public, this season sees the launch of the first MD Golf NV Drew Standard Bounce Wedge.

This wedge is aimed at golfers who play on traditional parkland courses and therefore need a more standard bounce angle to ensure the club doesn't get caught up in heavier grass.

The clubhead is finished in deep black PVD for looks that match performance.
