Danny Willett predicted to win silver at Rio 2016

Danny Willett has been backed to return from this summer’s Olympic Games with a Silver Medal according to the Gracenote Virtual Medal Table.

Open Champion Henrik Stenson is predicted to win the gold medal in the men’s individual event, one of only two Gold Medals predicted for Sweden while American Bubba Watson is tipped to take the Bronze Medal.

In the Women’s event, 19-year-old Lydia Ko from New Zealand is set to take home the Gold Meal while Silver is predicted to go to Thailand’s Ariya Jutanugarn and South Korea’s Inbee Park is expected to take Bronze.

The Gracenote Virtual Medal Table (VMT) forecasts Team GB to take over 56 meals, 18 gold, 16 silver and 22 bronze, which would make Rio 2016 their most successful overseas Olympics beating Team GB’s target of 48 medals.
