Emirates Golf Club racks up the awards

The Emirates Golf Club, UAE, has scooped up a double-header of awards already in this year.

In the May 2009 issue of Golf Digest US, Emirates Golf Club’s Majlis Course was ranked as one of the top 100 best golf courses outside the United States and was the only course from the Gulf region to be recognized in this roll of honour.

Off the course, Emirates Golf Club’s fine-dining restaurant Le Classique is receiving critical acclaim after returning to operation only three months ago.

Such is the reputation, skill and passion of Executive Chef Francois Porte and his team that What’s On Magazine deemed Le Classique worthy of the Chef’s Choice for Best Restaurant at their awards ceremony on Monday 20 April.

Chris May, General Manager of Emirates Golf Club, was delighted with the awards: “I cannot be prouder of my team for their achievements. We are so fortunate to have fantastic clubhouse facilities and golf courses that are second to none, along with a team that prides itself on making sure that our guests enjoy the ultimate in hospitality.

“Chef Francois and his team are thoroughly deserving of such recognition for the passion they impart into the Le Classique dining experience night after night.”
