A brand new 4 star hotel has launched in the heart of the UK’s ‘golf coast’ offering the ideal base to explore England’s North West and play on some of the best courses in Europe.
The new 133 bedroom Ramada Plaza Hotel in the classic seaside resort of Southport is part of a £30million redevelopment of the town’s waterfront.
Launched last November, the hotel provides a suitable location for golfers wishing to play at courses such as Royal Birkdale, Royal Lytham and Royal Liverpool.
The hotel is able to arrange bespoke golf breaks or has off-the-shelf golfing packages available to suit golfers of all standards. The packages also offer organised transport to and from the golf courses and trips to local bars and restaurants can also be arranged.
Nick Lebetkin, managing director of The Even Group, which has invested in bringing the Ramada Plaza to Southport, said: “We understand that many golfers who are keen to play at the area’s courses have been looking for a golf-friendly hotel which meets the standards they expect.
“We are proud to be established on the Golf Coast and we want to make The Ramada Plaza the ultimate destination for golfers wishing to play exceptional golf and stay in a luxury hotel.”
The hotel also specialises in golfing breaks for lady golfers and can arrange trips to watch Premiership football matches and horse racing at Aintree or Haydock as part of the stay.

*Southport Weekend Golf Break – Three nights and four rounds of golf at Southport and Ainsdale, Hillside, Hesketh and West Lancashire golf courses. Available Thursday to Sunday, April to October 2009. Cost per person from £535 (excluding transport) based on two sharing a twin room.
*Sunday Driver – One night and two rounds of golf at Hesketh and Formby Ladies OR Formby Hall Old Course. Available April to October 2009. Cost per person from £199 (excluding transport) based on two sharing a twin room.
