Pinner Hill Golf Club, Middlesex, is a cracking mature parkland track built on the site of the ancient Pinner Hill Woods while further north you’ve just got to try Pleasington Golf Club – Blackburn’s pride and joy – and South Yorkshire’s Hickleton Golf Club, impressively plotted on undulating rollercoaster-type terrain.
