The magnificent Links and Legends Championship courses provide the venue for the tournament, and most of the top stars from the Tour will be there, fighting to pick up the increased prize money this year.

 

After the outstanding success of last year’s event, the second edition of the Mauritius Commercial Bank Open has attracted over 250 professionals and amateurs from all around the world. The Pro Am will take place on Wednesday 8th – Thursday 9th December, and the Air Mauritius Trophy will precede this.

The stars of the show will include Ryder Cup legend Sam Torrance, who has 32 European and Senior European Tour victories to his name; David Frost – a winner on both the European and the PGA Tours; Costantino Rocca, a cult figure after his heroics in the 1995 Ryder Cup at Oak Hill; and Jose Rivero, the iconic Spanish veteran.

 

The field will also Kevin Spurgeon, who claimed his maiden Tour victory 12 months ago when he won last year’s event; and six winners from the Senior European Tour this year – Bill Longmuir, David J Russell, Mike Cunning, Barry Lane, Gary Wolstenholme and the Constance Hotels Experience’s very own Marc Farry, who won twice in 2010.

 

Apart from the golf, and the chance to unwind after a long, hard season, the attraction of the tournament is undoubtedly the exceptional accommodation provided by the 257 luxury suites and villas at the Constance Belle Mare Plage, and the 76 Junior Suites and 12 villas at the supremely luxurious Constance Le Prince Maurice.
